About the role
Vig Construction is seeking a Project Superintendent / Senior Project Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects throughout Southeast Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day field operations of commercial construction projects from start to finish
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive jobsite by enforcing safety standards and conducting weekly safety meetings
- Cook up and manage subcontractors to maintain schedule, quality, and workflow
- Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work
- Develop and maintain project schedules in coordination with the Project Manager
- Conduct pre-installation meetings with subcontractors prior to the start of work
- Monitor quality control and ensure work complies with project plans, building codes, and safety regulations
- Communicate project progress, schedule updates, and issues with Project Managers, clients, and internal leadership
Requirements
- 4+ years of commercial construction supervision experience (senior-level candidates typically bring 8+ years)
- OSHA 30 certification
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite operations
- Able to read and interpret construction drawings and project documentation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Project experience preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Able to manage multiple subcontractors and maintain accountability on site
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore or similar platforms (e.g., Autodesk Build, PlanGrid)
- Senior-level candidates will have experience leading larger or more complex projects and serving as a field leader across multiple teams
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass a background check

- Total compensation between $95,000–$140,000, consisting of base salary, auto allowance, bonus, and profit sharing
