Superintendent

Summary

Mortenson is seeking a Superintendent that will provide coordination, planning, and supervision to assist with project schedules, document reviews, and team development. Compensation is determined based on experience and location.

Responsibilities

- Plan and implement materials, equipment, and inspections to support project schedules. - Review construction documents for completeness and constructability, coordinate with design engineers. - Develop and manage project schedules, site logistics plans, and collaborate with project partners. - Coach, supervise, and develop team members, conduct orientations, planning sessions, and site meetings. - Ensure proper task coding, lead and track work progress, handle team member training, and conduct career development discussions. - Build effective relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels. - Lead by example, offer coaching and feedback, manage performance. - Provide high-level management of safety, quality, risk, and compliance, recognize and mitigate unfavorable conditions, seek process improvements.

Qualifications

- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or 10 years trade experience. - Current driver’s license. - Ability to fulfill development to closeout responsibilities for multiple, complex projects. - Detail-oriented, able to organize and manage multiple project tasks. - Basic understanding of construction law and business practices. - Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. - Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service skills. - Ability to interpret and communicate company policies. - Effective communication and active listening skills, openness to diverse input and feedback, ability to travel up to 100%. - Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans.

Superintendent I

- Minimum 5 years construction management or related experience. - Base pay range: $111,400 Min - $167,100 Max.

Superintendent 2

- Minimum 8 years construction management or related experience. - Base pay range: $130,100 Min - $195,200 Max.
