Position Overview
The Superintendent will play a key role in onsite field operations, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role will oversee subcontractors, manage crews, and coordinate day-to-day construction activities across complex water/wastewater and industrial facility projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all onsite construction activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and self-perform crews
- Enforce safety standards and implement project-specific safety programs through ongoing site inspections
- Develop and maintain weekly look-ahead schedules, daily reports, and labor tracking
- Cookordinate and supervise multiple crews and trades across active job sites
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and construction methods to ensure efficient execution
- Oversee material procurement, equipment allocation, and delivery coordination
- Review and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Support project staffing efforts, including onboarding field personnel
- Communicate with subcontractors regarding scope changes and cost impacts
- Collaborate with foremen and project leadership to ensure quality and progress
- Assist with CAD/design coordination and ensure plans are accurate and cost-effective
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to overall team development
- Work with plan reviewers and assist in resolving design or permitting issues
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in construction
- Experience in facilities or industrial construction projects
- Strong experience with scheduling, blueprint reading, and crew management
- Proven ability to create and manage look-ahead schedules
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Preferred Experience
- Water/Wastewater treatment facilities (highly preferred)
- Pump stations or lift stations
- Industrial, mechanical, electrical, or pipeline construction
- Subcontractor management and coordination
