About the Role

The Superintendent ensures successful execution and management of dewatering, bypass pumping, or trenching projects. While the Project Manager holds ultimate responsibility for project completion—on-time, within budget, and without injury—the Superintendent serves as the primary field leader, driving projects from start to finish and acting as both a working team member and individual contributor to overall team success. The role prioritizes customer satisfaction while protecting the company’s best interests.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on all assigned field projects.
  • Drive projects from start to finish, coordinating procurement and assignment of personnel and equipment.
  • Verify strict adherence to all safety programs and requirements on all projects.
  • Understand project expectations and contract requirements; ensure compliance, attend progress and critical issue meetings, prepare notes/reports, and escalate major issues to Branch leadership.
  • Manage project progress during operational activities, collaborating with Crew Leaders to ensure proper execution of project specifications.
  • Prepare and submit all daily progress reports (e.g., Driller Reports, Wellpoint Reports, Pump Water Reports).
  • Identify opportunities to expand projects and up-sell customers on additional products or services as needs arise.
  • Document and track project progress, changes, and issues; communicate updates to the Branch leadership team.
  • Participate in estimating projects and developing proposals for specific customer requirements.
  • Assist in the collection process as needed.
  • Attend industry functions to promote the company’s image and recognition.
  • Ensure proper documentation and agreements are executed and on file prior to beginning work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or technical manuals (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (preferred).
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to meet job requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Physical capability to perform intermittent periods of continuous exertion, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting heavy or awkward materials/equipment.
