Responsibilities
- Safety: Promote a culture of safety across all projects, ensuring adherence to company policies and OSHA regulations. Hold team members and subcontractors accountable for safety and ensure teams have the necessary resources to work safely. Investigate safety incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Quality: Ensure scopes are completed on site in alignment with Aro Homes rigorous quality control standards. Push subcontractors and Aro Self Perform teams to meet company and customer expectations. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship and materials meet established standards, educating field teams on completing quality work efficiently without the need for repeated rework. Collaborate with teams to identify and resolve quality issues promptly.
- Schedule & Budget Management: Collaborate with the project manager, project scheduler, and material manager to plan and coordinate project activities and timelines. Schedule and manage subcontractors on site to successfully complete scopes in alignment with schedule, ideal sequence, and quality requirements. Allocate resources across projects and monitor usage, adjusting as necessary to meet project goals. Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met. Manage project budgets, approve change orders, and monitor expenses, adjusting resources as necessary in collaboration with the project manager. Monitor progress across multiple projects to ensure alignment with quality and schedule objectives.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Representation: Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and providing efficient and timely insights into issues and opportunities. Handle neighbor outreach and daily management to maintain positive relations.
- Leadership and Team Management: Foster an environment of learning by mentoring Foremen and Team Leads, promoting cross-functional collaboration, and encouraging feedback loops. Identify skill gaps and create targeted initiatives to build team competencies. Establish performance expectations for Foremen and Team Leads and provide feedback to drive their growth and effectiveness. Manage timesheet approvals for self-perform teams. Ensure compliance with all Aro’s job site processes and procedures. Manage escalations and cross-project risks effectively, ensuring continuity and alignment across projects. Drive accountability and foster collaboration to deliver successful project outcomes.
- Leverage and Grow Lean Construction: Utilize and grow Lean construction principles to enhance efficiency and minimize waste. Deliver high-quality outputs that push the team forward by ensuring site operations are continuously refined for efficiency, safety, and quality. Encourage ownership and accountability by empowering teams to take initiative in solving problems and improving processes. Assist the product development process, helping to optimize for: safety, quality, time to completion, and cost. Drive continuous improvement and the relentless pursuit of being better tomorrow than we are today.
Requirements
- Track record of success and advancement in related roles.
- At least 6 years of general construction experience in the single family residential space.
- 3+ years as a Superintendent with a successful tracker record.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Advanced understanding of all stages of the homebuilding process including permitting, horizontal construction, vertical construction, quality standards, and construction requirements.
- Proven experience managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the US construction field.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and apply field installation drawings and floor plans.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage on-site teams effectively.
- Heavy career focus on safety and quality.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to speed, quality, and safety.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital project management systems (e.g. Procore, Buildertrend, P6, Jira).
- Ability to respectfully voice opinions, gracefully receive feedback, and collaboratively analyze and resolve problems.

Qualifications
- Relevant certifications (e.g. First Aid/CPR) preferred.
- Experience in industrialized construction.
- Experience in advanced work packaging.
- Experience at an early-stage or growth startup.
- Experience with lean, agile, or pull planning.
- 5+ years of experience within a prefab/modular company.
