Superba Operator D Shift (Chatsworth, Georgia, United States, 30705)

Primary Objective

In broad terms, the major purpose of this position is to safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals while functioning as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion.

Safeguards and Responsibilities

• Safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals.
• Function as a primary source of finish application in yarn conversion resulting in resistance to wear, dimensional stability, and design meeting specifications of the product.
• Threads and repairs breakouts to maintain efficiency and meet production standards.
• Proactively identifies yarn quality during production runs.
• Selects and stages tubes for winder operation.
• Doffs off finished yarn packages as required.
• Maintains daily production records.
• Runs both creeling and winding side when needed.
• Uses black light to check for no mixes.
• Attends any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follows all established standard operating and safety procedures as well as company policies.
• Performs general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Performs other tasks assigned by management.

Knowledge, Experience, Certifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Successful completion of all required on-the-job training.
• Successful completion of all required health and environmental safety training.
• Previous yarn or manufacturing experience is preferred.
