Primary Objective

At Mohawk Industries, the Superba Operator B Shift position aims to safely operate heatset machinery to meet and exceed quality, production, and efficiency goals, ensuring yarn conversion meets specifications.

Major Function and Scope

- **Threads and Repairs Breakouts:** Maintains efficiency and production standards by threading and repairing breakouts. - **Identifies Yarn Quality:** Proactively monitors yarn quality during production runs. - **Selects and Stages Tubes:** Ensures proper selection and staging of tubes for winder operation. - **Doffs Finished Packages:** Removes finished yarn packages as required. - **Maintains Production Records:** Keeps daily production records. - **Operates Both Creeling and Winding Side:** Performs duties on both creeling and winding sides as needed. - **Checks for Mixes:** Utilizes a black light to ensure there are no yarn mix-ups. - **Attends Training:** Participates in any job-related training as directed. - **Follows Procedures:** Adheres to all established standard operating and safety procedures. - **Performs Housekeeping:** Carries out general housekeeping duties. - **Completes Assignments:** Completes other tasks assigned by management.

Type of Experience and Knowledge

- **Education and Training:** High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, requires successful completion of all required on-the-job training and health/environmental safety training. - **Experience:** Previous experience in yarn or manufacturing is preferred. - **Certifications:** No specific certifications required.
