Summary/Primary Purpose

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of positive youth development outcomes.
- Promotes and stimulates youth participation and assists with registration of new members and participates in their program orientation.
- Provides guidance and role modeling to youth.
- Implements and administers programs, services and activities for youth in programming.
- Makes sure to monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities to ensure safety of youth and quality in programs.
- Prepares periodic activity reports.
- Aids in implementing outreach efforts to sustain and increase program membership and program participation.
- Aids in maintaining facility and equipment in good working order as well as ensuring all storage areas are kept orderly.

Supervisory Responsibilities
- Volunteers Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED required. Previous work in related field with Children and Youth preferred.
Qualifications

- Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft software to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and

- Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, 10- key.
- Good attention to details and filing.
- Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
Other Qualifications
- Must pass all applicable background checks.
- Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you
- Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
- Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.
- A commitment to actively participate in a Professional Development Plan.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Basic First Aid and CPR Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe).
