Workplace

We work onsite with our team based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and Juneau, Wisconsin. Our team of 700+ passionate pet people thrives on collaboration, innovation, and the occasional office cameo from a four-legged friend.

Summer Crew

Join the "Summer Crew" at WhiskerPark in Juneau or our partner warehouse in Reeseville! We don’t just make stuff; we hand-assemble the world’s leading automated pet appliances. Skip the boring retail shifts and get hands-on with high-tech assembly in our clean, temperature-controlled facility.

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly rates starting around $18/hr, plus an extra $1.50/hr for second-shift legends!
  • Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Shift Details

  • 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM

What You’ll Do

As a Robot Assembler, you will assemble parts to build robotic appliances for pets (Litter-Robot & Feeder-Robot).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties safely while following company policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Assemble robotic pet appliances according to detailed work instructions and production requirements
  • Prepare workstations/assembly areas by ensuring all tools, equipment, and materials are in good condition and ready for use
  • Identify and report safety, ergonomic, quality, or documentation issues; support and follow through on corrective actions
  • Follow work instructions closely and alert Engineering or Management to any errors or inconsistencies
  • Demonstrate willingness and ability to perform all functions of the assembly process across multiple products and lines
  • Perform final testing and quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards and specifications
  • Packaging finished products for shipment, ensuring accuracy, protection, and damage prevention
  • Handle components and finished goods carefully to maintain product quality
  • Operate basic hand and power tools safely and in accordance with established protocols
  • Absorb and troubleshoot minor production or equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain workflow
  • Follow lean manufacturing practices and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support cross-training efforts by learning and performing tasks in multiple areas as needed
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with Supervisors, Engineering, and Quality teams regarding production issues and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace; contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment
  • Participate in shift meetings and team huddles to stay aligned on daily goals, priorities, and production targets
  • Adapt to changing production demands, schedules, and priorities; move between lines and tasks as needed
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently to communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and cross-functional teams
  • Bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged; additional language skills are a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and safely use hand and power tools
  • Mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity are preferred
  • Maintain a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced assembly environment
  • Eager to learn and contribute across different areas of the company
  • Ability to stand and walk for 8+ hours per day
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Demonstrate professionalism in a dynamic environment with frequent interactions and interruptions
  • Ability to build and maintain cooperative working relationships

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Regularly sit, talk, and hear
  • Frequently use hands to handle or feel objects
  • Occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
