Job Summary

At Mad Science and Imagine Arts Academy (formerly ART-Ventures for Kids), we are passionate about igniting the imaginations of young minds. Our Summer programs combine thrilling experiments with creative arts, offering kids hands-on experiences like building rockets, creating slime, and exploring the wonders of science and art.

Responsibilities

• Facilitating Summer programs using a pre-set curriculum
• Each session is designed to be both entertaining and educational, lasting 1-2 hours after school and half or full days during the Summer.
• Possibility to facilitate birthday parties, stage shows, or other one-off programs at additional camp and Summer sites.

Requirements

• Availability: Summer: Availability during the day for multiple weeks late June through late August.
• Additional Opportunity to continue working for us in the school year in after-school programming.
• Experience working or volunteering with groups of elementary-aged kids.
• Must have a reliable car and drivers license.
• All employees will be subject to a criminal background check.
• Some college experience preferred. Degrees and/or graduate degrees a plus. A science major is not required for Mad Science, but an interest in art and/or background is helpful for Imagine Arts.
• Have a fun, engaging, and outgoing personality.

Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
