Summer Preschool Assistant, Wayzata Early Learning School

Position Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in creating a positive learning environment and providing high-quality instruction and care to our preschoolers. This is a summer only position.

Qualifications

• Has a passion for working with young children
• Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds
• Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
• The physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation
• Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers
• Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model (preferred)
• Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent (preferred)
• At least one year successful experience working with preschool aged children in a childcare or education setting (preferred)
