About the role
Looking for students who are detail-oriented, friendly, responsible, and able to maintain professional standards as part of a customer service team. Previous A/V experience is a plus. 6-8 positions available.
Responsibilities
- Set up for events, operate audio/visual equipment, deliver conference materials, and provide excellent customer service
- Move and set up tables, chairs, tents, large boxes, etc.
- Work evenings, weekends, and some holidays
- Attend weekly staff meetings on Wednesday evenings
Requirements
- Valid US driver’s license
- Comfortable driving large vehicles (SUV, 8-passenger van, etc.)
- Comfortable working in a team
- Must be available for the following dates:
- May 16, 2026: half-day onboarding
- May 17 – June 7, 2026 (exact dates TBD): two training sessions
- June 15 – 19, 2026: mandatory training week (~40 hours, 9 am–6 pm daily)
- June 20 – 21, 2026: opening weekend
Training & Schedule
- Training sessions in mid-May
- Active employment from June through approximately the week after Labor Day weekend
- 20–35 hrs/week
Pay
$17.15/hr (2026 rate)

- June 13 – July 2, 2026: eligible to stay in June Temporary Housing at no cost
- Eligible to stay in UCSB Summer Sessions housing in University Apartments (standard Summer Session rates apply)
