Summer Externship (May 2027 Session) - Bentonville
About the role
The Martin/Martin, Inc. Externship Experience is a one-week program designed for college students interested in learning more about the structural engineering field. It takes place from May 17 - 20, 2027, from 10 AM - 3 PM daily, with lunch provided. Applications are reviewed on a monthly basis from August 2026 through February 2027, and selected candidates will be notified by the first week of March 2027.
Responsibilities
- Completes simple engineering calculations and models
- Prepares presentations
- Performs site assessments
Requirements
- Ability to commute and attend programming in Bentonville, AR
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or architectural engineering
- Eligible to work for any employer in the United States, without the need for visa sponsorship

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil or architectural engineering
Skills, Abilities, And Working Conditions
- Completing repetitive movement on tasks such as using a mouse or keyboard
- Remaining stationary for long periods of time
- Reading, communicating, and documenting in English
- Identifying color
- Determining and exchanging accurate information
- Occasionally moving about outside of the office
- Occasionally moving or holding objects weighing up to 25 pounds

This is an unpaid externship.

The externship runs from May 17 - 20, 2027, from 10 AM - 3 PM daily.
