Summer Custodial Assistant Temp (2026)

About the role

Campus Services is responsible for all business and facility aspects of UAA's residential campus in UAA's residential community. This includes 18 residential and non-residential buildings across campus.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of custodial duties to ensure exceptional in-house custodial service.
• Provide customer service to students and guests.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Pay attention to detail and follow directions.
• Follow instructions both written and verbal in the English language.
• Complete required forms, paperwork, and time sheets.

Requirements

• Education and/or Experience: Any combination of education and experience which clearly demonstrates the skills and abilities necessary to accomplish the essential functions of the job.
• Criminal history background check.
• FERPA certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.
• Title IX certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.
• Behavior Based Safety (BBS) certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.
• Workplace Harassment Prevention certification or certification completion within 30 days of the job start date.

Qualifications

Must be reliable, dependable, and punctual.

Skills

The successful candidate will have the ability to provide a high degree of customer service.

Benefits

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on the University of Alaska campus in Anchorage from May 2026 - August 2026. This is a full-time, non-exempt temporary staff position.

Pay

$20.25/hour
