Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate the van to transport K-5 elementary students to and from designated camp sites.
- Manage and track student attendance during loading and unloading using camp pick-up and drop-off.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and positive environment inside the van; manage student behavior during transit and escalate behavioral incidents to the Program Manager or Site Supervisor as needed.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (checking fluids, tires, brakes, and cleanliness) to ensure the vehicle meets strict health and safety standards.
- Serve as a friendly and professional point of contact for parents and guardians during morning pick-ups and afternoon drop-offs.
- Maintain accurate documentation regarding vehicle maintenance, mileage logs, and student incident reports.
- Attend mandatory staff training, safety meetings, and daily briefings assigned.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A valid PA Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable communicating with elementary school students and their families.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
