Summer Camp Counselor (Little School Preschool)

Description

This position involves organizing and supervising children (ages 3-5) in a summer day camp setting. Activities include arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and games, special events, and more. Cleaning and sanitizing duties are also required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to engage and entertain preschool-aged children.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for campers, emphasizing teamwork and cooperation.
• Assist in the setup and cleanup of daily activities and maintain a clean and organized camp space.
• Actively participate in all camp events, including special visits from the firefighters, police, etc.
• Collaborate with fellow camp counselors and staff to ensure a positive camp experience.
• Provide regular updates to parents on camp activities and their child's participation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or equivalent.
• Necessary Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and the public; ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a dynamic environment; capacity to create a nurturing and positive environment for young children.
• Additional Desirable Qualification: Previous experience in recreation programs, summer camps, or childcare is preferred.

Supplemental Information

• Mandatory training will take place from June 22nd to June 26th.
