Summer Camp Counselor

General Information

The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking Six (6) Camp Counselors for the Summer of 2025!

We offer fantastic rewards, including lunch daily while at work.

Camp Hours: June 1 to August 8, 2026
8:30 am - 4:30 pm daily, Monday - Friday and the occasional Saturday.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead activities
• Entertain and engage kids of various ages
• Enforce camp rules
• Maintain cleanliness
• Create a fun and safe environment
• Work well with others
• Have excellent communication skills
• Work in a fast-paced indoor/outdoor environment in different weather conditions
• Be adaptable and have a "can do mentality"
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and operational
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Family Activities Manager

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Able to work independently
• Able to communicate with all team members
• Excellent communication skills
• High personal attendance standards
• Able to focus under pressure and maintain a professional atmosphere
• High school diploma or the equivalent
• AED/CPR certification a plus

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Regularly required to stand the entire shift
• Frequent use of hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, shaking, stirring, and pouring
• Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
• Close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
• Exposure to sharp objects, slippery floors, smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, and extreme cold
• Contact with water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood, and produce items
• Frequent washing of hands
• Noisy work environment

Pay Range

$16 per hour
