What This Role Entails

  • Prepare materials and supplies for each camp component.
  • Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  • Deliver the different Right At School camp components each day.
  • Excellent communication skills with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  • Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children.
  • Makes regular meetings with the Camp Lead to prepare for the day the week regarding activities and group schedule.
  • Show an understanding of how Summer Camp differs from After School based on the activities and expectations.
  • Be a mentor and memory maker for each child every day.

Ideal Candidates

  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Pay

The pay range for this role is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.

The schedule for this role varies depending on the camp season and location.
