What This Role Entails
- Prepare materials and supplies for each camp component.
- Document attendance, incidents and other observations.
- Deliver the different Right At School camp components each day.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills with a varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel.
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children.
- Makes regular meetings with the Camp Lead to prepare for the day the week regarding activities and group schedule.
- Show an understanding of how Summer Camp differs from After School based on the activities and expectations.
- Be a mentor and memory maker for each child every day.
Requirements
- Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred).
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
