Racket Social Club at Windward Lake in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor for their upcoming season.

About the role

We are looking for energetic, responsible, and enthusiastic Summer Camp Counselors to join our team. This is a seasonal position with an expected duration of six months or less.

Responsibilities

• Assisting recreational activities for children
• Lead small or large groups on crafts, games and various other camp exercises
• Monitor campers to identify and respond to unruly behavior or deviations from camp guidelines
• Follow policies for the safety of campers, equipment, and personal property
• Act as a role model for campers in activities which require cleanliness, punctuality, and sportsmanship
• Mediate disputes or conflicts between campers to ensure a peaceful environment
• Participate in singing, storytelling, and sporting activities

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children preferred
• Knowledge of sports, arts, or crafts is also necessary for the position
• Camp counselors are able to direct and coordinate children during summer camp trips

Qualifications

• Frequent standing and using hands; reaching with hands and arms
• Regular walking, sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling or crouching
• Lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally works in outdoor weather conditions with moderate noise levels

Skills

• Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job
• Tennis background is preferred but not mandatory
