Summer Camp Counselor

Position Details

Dates: June 3 – August 7
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Shifts: 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM (opener or closer)

Responsibilities

• Provide care and supervision to children during summer camp activities and community outings
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote communication, behavioral, and social skills
• Support individuals in developing independence and daily living skills
• Maintain regular communication with supervisors regarding participant progress
• Attend training and professional development opportunities
• Complete required documentation for program performance and grant reporting
• Safely transport participants using ARC vehicles for scheduled activities
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A High School diploma or GED (or currently enrolled in high school or a vocational program)
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
