Responsibilities

  • Enforce respect for personal property, camp equipment and facilities.
  • Manage break day outings, activities, and meals.
  • Conduct regular rounds of camp to ensure physical and emotional safety of all staff on camp.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff.
  • Aid in the clean-up of the total camp at the end of each camper session and at the conclusion of the summer.
  • Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and in living quarters.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to following Jesus Christ as a leader and example to other staff.
  • Enforce camp policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the utmost level of safety for staff at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with American Camping Association standards of safety and programmatic conduct at all times.
  • Patrol the camp grounds on a regular basis both during the day and in the evening.
  • Remain onsite as the contact for all staff (both minors and adults) Friday afternoon – Monday afternoon.
  • Cook and clean up meals for staff.
  • Monitor who is coming and going from camp.
  • Ensure any visitors have properly signed in and have a visitors pass.
  • Ensure all staff are back on camp and accounted for Monday morning at breakfast.
  • Report any absences immediately to the LDM and Camp Director.

Qualifications

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects and reach overhead.
  • Ability to operate telephone.
  • Ability to operate a desktop or laptop computer.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to access and produce information from a computer.
  • Ability to understand written information.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of American Camping Association standards.

Pay
