The Ally Internship Program guides and mentors students with development opportunities and experiences that support your career interests while also driving the business forward. Program Details

  • Internship Program Timing: May 25 – July 30, 2027
  • 40 hours each week with a mix of in-office and remote working days
  • Project-based work
  • Market competitive hourly compensation and a sign-on bonus, as well as financial housing assistance for those who qualify
  • Successful interns will have the opportunity to return to Ally in an Early Talent Program or full-time role, or to a second internship, depending upon graduation timing

Responsibilities

The Risk internship program is comprised of opportunities within the Independent Risk Management (IRM) function, which is responsible for independently reviewing risks, and providing credible challenge to business line management of risk and systems of control. This program works closely with the Compliance business line. The Risk interns will have the opportunity to:

  • Attend formal company orientation and training
  • Participate in executive speaking series
  • Have hands on experience in area of study; as well as participate in project-based work
  • Participate in an Employee Resource Group mentoring program
  • Lead an end of assignment presentation
  • Leadership and career development
  • Networking opportunities

Required Qualifications

  • Must be graduating between December 2027 and May 2029
  • Rising Junior or Senior (during the time of internship) in a full-time undergraduate program
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Available for the full duration of the internship program
  • Eligible to work in the US for any employer without sponsorship from the company now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship experience or relevant project work is preferred
  • Extracurricular activities/leadership experience is preferred (student organizations, volunteering, sports, part-time roles, etc.)
