About the role

CNO Financial Group is hiring a 40|86 Advisors Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate 2027 Intern to work alongside experienced Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate associates within 40|86, assisting with professional day-to-day work within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental corporate research in one or more industries and identify attractive investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for use in the investment decision process.
  • Analyze both existing and potential new commercial real estate investments.
  • Interact with other members of the investment team including Portfolio Managers and Traders to help facilitate an effective investment decision-making process.

Requirements

  • Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related discipline.
  • Status as a rising junior or rising senior, with approximate graduation dates of December 2027–June 2029.
  • Availability to work 40 hrs/week for 10–12 weeks during the summer.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Carmel, IN Corporate Office.
  • Candidates must reside within a 60-mile radius of the Carmel, IN corporate office.

Qualifications

  • Prior internship experience.
  • Balancing education and a part-time job during the school year.
  • Participation with university clubs.

Schedule

The CNO 2027 internship program will run May 17 through August 06, 2027. The Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays are paid days off.

Pay

This is a paid internship at competitive rates. The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills, and location. This position is also eligible for CNO’s performance-based annual bonus program.
