About the role

This is a paid internship where you will work alongside experienced Commercial Mortgage and Real Estate associates within 40|86, assisting with professional day-to-day work within the department.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth fundamental corporate research in one or more industries and identify attractive investment opportunities.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models for use in the investment decision process.
  • Analyze both existing and potential new commercial real estate investments.
  • Interact with other members of the investment team including Portfolio Managers and Traders to help facilitate an effective investment decision-making process.

Requirements

  • Progress towards a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related discipline.
  • Status as a rising junior or rising senior, with approximate graduation dates of December 2027–June 2029.
  • Availability to work 40 hours/week for 10–12 weeks during the summer.
  • Ability to work onsite in our Carmel, IN Corporate Office.
  • Must reside within a 60-mile radius of the Carmel, IN corporate office.
  • Must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States (the company does not sponsor work visas for this position).

Schedule

The 2027 internship program runs from May 17 through August 6, 2027. The Memorial Day and 4th of July holidays are paid days off.
