About the role

This paid internship in investment real estate lending offers a college student the opportunity to explore all aspects of the Commercial Bank at FNB, with a focus on Credit Analysis and Underwriting. You will gain practical experience through credit training, financial spreads and analysis, cash flow and collateral analysis, and shadowing outside sales calls with Commercial Lenders and Business Partners. You will also interact with Sales & Executive Management and other FNB business partners such as Private Banking, Treasury Management, Wealth/Brokerage, and Business Banking.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in credit training and other systems training
  • Work with credit analysts, portfolio managers and commercial lenders in tracking, administering and growing the Bank’s commercial portfolio
  • Shadow commercial lenders or their business partners on outside business calls
  • Interact with FNB business partners including Private Banking, Treasury Management, Wealth/Brokerage, and Business Banking
  • Interact with Commercial Administration Management (Regional Banking Executives and Market Managers)
  • Attend and participate in FNB-related events and trainings scheduled for all Summer Interns

  • Work directly with assigned business leaders and professionals on various projects and assignments
  • Participate in networking events, meetings, and corporate training opportunities to further professional development

Position Overview

As an intern at F.N.B., you will apply finance or economics coursework to real-world scenarios, see how banks serve business and consumer needs, enhance leadership skills with high-performing executives, learn what differentiates F.N.B. in the marketplace, understand interest rates and financial drivers, acquire credit skills essential to portfolio health, and learn complex regulatory compliance issues.

Qualifications

  • Officially enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor program with a major in Finance, Accounting, Marketing or Information Technology
  • High School diploma or GED
  • No prior professional experience required
