Intern - Commercial Banking and Credit (Summer 2027)

About This Job

The Commerce Bank Commercial Banking & Credit Internship is a role in which individuals are introduced to the variety of career path opportunities within the bank through project assignments, job shadowing and building a professional network. They will build relationships with internal partners and Senior Leadership to develop knowledge on how the bank prospects and manages commercial relationships, assesses and mitigates risk related to lending, facilitates cash management and treasury services for customers. The internship culminates in a Capstone Project related to Relationship Banking to be presented at the end of the internship. The summer internship session will begin on Tuesday, May 18, 2027, and will run for 11 weeks, ending on Friday, July 30, 2027. Internships are paid, full-time opportunities with a Monday through Friday work schedule.

Essential Functions

• Build an understanding of Business Development and Relationship Management
• Build a personal brand for self-marketing and networking growth
• Prepare elements of Credit Approval requests using data from multiple systems and Relationship Managers
• Prepare company spreads using varying quality financial statements and tax returns
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Mostly onsite

• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Compensation

A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $20.00 per hour.
