About the Role

The Suite Attendant plays a vital role in delivering an exceptional guest experience in our guest suites at the SoFi Center for each TGL season and year-round private events. With a strong focus on hospitality and attention to detail, this position is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about creating memorable experiences for guests by anticipating their needs and exceeding expectations.

This role pays an hourly rate of $25.00 and is tip eligible.

About The Venue

Oak View Group is the venue manager and food and beverage provider of the SoFi Center, a first-of-its-kind venue located in Palm Beach Gardens on the campus of Palm Beach State College. TGL presented by SoFi is a new golf league, combining advanced technology with teams of top players from the PGA TOUR for two-hour weekly competitions in prime time.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup of food service areas within guest suites and general catering areas based upon pre-order or match day menus as available.
  • Ensure all assigned suites are set prior to the event based on communication received of orders.
  • Organize and prepare events in assigned locations.
  • Assist in closing out financials per event and ensure correct billing takes place.
  • Monitor and maintain food quality.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, upholding safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a positive atmosphere for team members and guests.
  • Monitor and enforce safe alcohol policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control and product requisition fulfilling.
  • Have full knowledge of food and beverage menu items and accompaniments.
  • Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic beverages, and check guest IDs to verify minimum age requirements.
  • Observe and engage with guests to respond to any additional requests.
  • Ensure suites have all necessary serving ware and equipment for smooth service.
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
  • Show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
  • Assure that location equipment is operable and clean prior to the start of the event.
  • Recognize guests that are visibly intoxicated and take action to cut off alcohol to such individuals.
  • Ensure all assigned suites are fully broken down after the event.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years’ experience working in a premium food & beverage or customer service role.
  • High school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Ability to work weekdays and weekends, with availability for some morning, noon, and evening shifts on an on-call/event-based schedule.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Possess valid ServSafe Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Possess valid ServSafe or eTIPS Alcohol Certificate.
  • Ability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions as they relate to POS cash/credit transactions, cash reconciliation, and product inventory.
