Sugarloaf Lift Control

About the role

Sugarloaf is looking for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual to join our team as Lift Control for the upcoming winter season. This role serves as a bridge of communication between the lift department and many other resort departments, coordinating lift operations via radio, phone, and email. The position is initially 3 days a week, with potential to add a fourth day as a Lift Operator for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the opening and closing of lifts throughout the day, keeping a detailed record of daily events
• Communicate via phone, email, and radio with all major departments affected by lift operations
• Update lift status-related media for the Sugarloaf website and public information boards
• Assist lift operations as needed
• Assist with administrative and office support tasks as needed

Requirements

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with periodic slow times
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access, along with other required software
• Able to interact professionally and cordially with all mountain departments
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Reliable and able to report to work before lifts turn (6 am) to ensure guest and team safety

Knowledge of lift operations is preferred but not required.

Pay

Starting wage is between $17.50–$20 per hour, depending on experience.
