SUE Technician II
About the role
This is an entry-level position designed for individuals with 0-2 years of experience in field work involving utility systems. On-the-job training will be provided for all necessary skills needed to be successful in this role.
We are looking for candidates with the willingness and ability to learn how to operate vacuum excavation equipment, record field-gathered data, and interpret utility locations using various hand-held technology. Basic computer skills (e.g., Excel, Word) are a plus.
A valid Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation are required.
Responsibilities
- Learn to operate vacuum excavation equipment.
- Record and interpret field-gathered data related to utility locations.
- Use hand-held technology for utility location interpretation.
- Maintain required certifications and a valid Driver’s License.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to obtain a DOT Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation.
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check (motor vehicle checks may also be required).
