SUE Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SUE projects from kickoff to completion, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and schedule
• Prepare and manage project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, and billings
• Sign and seal plats, field notes, and control drawings as required
• Plan staffing needs, allocate resources, and oversee multiple concurrent projects
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships; pursue new business opportunities
• Deliver project updates, technical reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders
• Coverage with sub-consultants, partners, and internal teams for seamless execution
• Monitor and report financial performance, including AR, WIP, and billing cycles
• Represent SAM at client meetings, industry events, and trade shows
• Support other operational teams and contribute to company-wide goals

Requirements

• Previous industry-related work experience in a professional or management capacity
• Knowledge of SUE practices and applicable standards (ASCE 38-22 preferred)
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships
• Proficiency with CAD, GIS, and utility data management platforms
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

Qualifications

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking an experienced SUE Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in SUE project management, preferably in the construction phase industry. A degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
