Job Duties
- Responsible for testing flight systems for aircraft, including fuels, hydraulics, brakes, and Environmental Control Systems.
- Conducting comprehensive tests on flight systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards.
- Collaborating with design and production teams to implement improvements and upgrades.
- Documenting test results and providing input for system certification and readiness for flight.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited academic institution with 4 years of related engineering experience, or accredited Master of Science in Engineering with at least 2 years of related engineering experience, or accredited doctoral degree in engineering.
- Technical and Work Experience: Mastery of concepts, principles, and practices of engineering; sufficient knowledge and skill to apply the latest developments in engineering to solve problems in the specialty area; excellent communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and computer-based engineering tools; planning/organizing skills; ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software; valid, state-issued driver's license; DoD security clearance up to top secret with special access; U.S. citizen.
