Substitute Teacher - Full Time

About the Role

Lincoln Leadership Academy Charter School is seeking qualified and reliable Substitute Teachers on a full-time basis. Substitute Teachers will provide instruction and maintain a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and be enthusiastic about making a positive impact in urban communities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the absent classroom teacher.
• Provide instruction and facilitate learning experiences in accordance with school policies and procedures.
• Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Implement classroom rules and expectations to maintain order and discipline.
• Adapt teaching strategies and instructional materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
• Follow classroom procedures and routines established by the regular classroom teacher.
• Communicate effectively with school administrators, staff, and students.
• Provide feedback and report any concerns or issues to the appropriate school personnel.
• Be available to work on short notice and accommodate varying assignments and grade levels.
• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing classroom environments and instructional needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Previous experience working with children or youth preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and classroom routines.
• Clearances: FBI fingerprints, PA state background check, child abuse history clearance, and a physical examination.
