Substitute Teacher - FORMER CFISD TEACHERS ONLY 2026-2027

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university; (If you have a foreign transcript, it must be evaluated by a TEA approved credential evaluation agency. • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Experience working with children preferred.
• Flexible and able to adjust daily routine.
• Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude.
• Ability to speak, read and understand the English language.

Terms of Employment

Substitutes are employed on an at-will basis and are not considered contractual employees.

Fees

There is a fingerprinting fee (approximately $50.00) associated with this application process.

Pay

DEGREED $110.00/day (daily assignments) $145/day - $180/day (long-term assignments)

• One positive professional reference required.

Responsibilities

Responsible for implementing the District's instructional program and educational philosophy in the subject area or grade level designated, in accordance with district policies, and procedures on a day to day basis.

Working Conditions

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
