Substitute Teacher (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Summary

On-call to provide instruction to students in accordance with established lesson plans and administrator directions. May prepare lesson plans and evaluate and monitor students’ performance.

Minimum Requirements

• AZ IVP fingerprint clearance card
• Valid AZ Teacher Certificate or Substitute Certificate
• Teaching Experience
• Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions

Preferred Requirements

• Prior To Start Date: Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization
• Must attend Substitute Teacher Orientation before starting any assignment in the District

Full Day: 8 hours; Half Day: 4 hours
