Substitute Teacher Aides 2026-2027

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Must be Civil Service approved
• Prospective employees must receive state and federal clearance based on a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check. Details are available from the district personnel office.
• Must have extreme patience working with young people.
• Must be helpful and attentive to directions of the teacher.
• Willingness and ability to assist in lifting and toileting of student.
• Patience, consistency, able to manage challenging behaviors required.
• Must help with organizing materials and supplies
• Evidence of strong communication/interpersonal skills with parents, students and staff
• Able to be flexible and accommodating.
