About the role

Substitute teachers perform the duties of the teacher in their absence. They carry out the teacher's lesson plan for the day and manage the classroom.

Qualifications

• Teaching Certification is not required
• Uncertified candidates must have a 4-year degree and attach a copy of transcript showing when the degree was issued or a copy of the degree

Pay

• Uncertified Substitute Teacher: $130 full-day / $70 half-day
• Uncertified Substitute Teacher with 4-year degree: $145 full-day / $80 half-day
• Certified Substitute Teacher: $160 full-day / $90 half-day
• Retired Teacher: $180 full-day / $100 half-day
• Preferred Substitute Teacher: $175 full-day / $95 half-day
