What You’ll Do

• Prepare and serve meals according to rules and regulations.
• Perform kitchen clean-up duties.
• Follow health standards and food service training plans.
• Clean and maintain the building in accordance with cleanliness standards.
• Safely operate and maintain custodial equipment.
• Maintain an orderly and safe environment.
• Demonstrate effective safety skills.
• Use cleaning supplies safely and maintain them appropriately.
• Type using a computer keyboard.
• Maintain moderately complex databases.
• Review documents and reports for accuracy.
• Aid staff in completing forms.
• Open, sort, process, and distribute mail.
• Answer telephone, take messages, and route calls efficiently.
• Greet and welcome visitors, direct them as needed.
• Order and inventory supplies.
• Assist the classroom teacher in implementing the student instructional program.
• Support students with behavior support plans.
• Accommodate each student's individual communication needs.
• Supervise students during off-campus instruction.
• Perform daily self-care needs of students (e.g., diapering, feeding, hand washing, tooth brushing).
• Follow specific special health care procedures.
• Assist with the arrival/dismissal transfer of students.

High School Diploma or GED

Experience working with individuals with severe disabilities is preferred.
