About the role
Lake Country School (LCS) is seeking on call substitute staff to support the school when regular staff members are absent.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the classroom environment
- Supervise children during lunch, recess, and physical fitness
- Sanitize materials
- Monitor nappers
- Lead songs or games
- Manage arrivals and dismissals
- Step in and take on the role of the responsible adult when the lead teacher is not present
Requirements
- Dedicated, energetic individual with a passion for working with young children
- Flexible and organized
- Comfortable in a support role receiving directions from a lead teacher
- Joyful in work
Qualifications
- Experience working with children
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to changing situations
- Positive attitude and ability to maintain a calm demeanor
Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency procedures
