HOST/HOSTESS (PART TIME)

About the role

Culinaire is seeking a part-time HOST/HOSTESS to join the team at Shula's 347 Grille. This position offers free shift meals and parking, along with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to their tables based on availability or desired seating arrangements.
• Helps create an enjoyable dining experience and maintains a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and other associates.
• Exhibits exceptional communication skills and works well with others, demonstrating flexibility and patience.
• Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared.
• Supervises the activities of food-service associates to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Helps train new food-service team members.
• Supervises the closing of the assigned dining room, ensuring side work and station setup are properly completed.
• Demonstrates knowledge of emergency safety procedures and assists in evacuating guests to safety in case of fire or other emergencies.
• Aids in service, including occasional bussing and food service, while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards.
• Operates equipment such as fire extinguishers, telephones, iced tea/soda machines, soup wells, and coffee machines as needed.
• Works with staff from other departments to perform job duties and assist during special events or functions.

Requirements

Previous hosting experience is preferred. Willingness to train is required.

Pay

$15.00 to $16.00 per hour
