HOST/HOSTESS (PART TIME)

About the role

Part-time Host/Hostess position at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 University Avenue, Austin, TX 78705. Days and hours may vary; off Sundays and Mondays. Previous customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet and direct guests to tables based on availability or desired seating.
• Create an enjoyable dining experience and maintain a safe, clean, and neat environment for guests and staff.
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills; demonstrate flexibility, patience, and an interest in people.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared by guests.
• Supervise food-service associates in the dining room to ensure proper customer service, food handling, and sanitation.
• Train new food-service team members and supervise closing duties, including side work and station setup.
• Demonstrate knowledge of emergency safety procedures and assist in evacuations when needed.
• Assist with service tasks such as bussing and food service while adhering to food safety standards.
• Operate equipment including fire extinguishers, telephones, beverage machines, and coffee machines as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments during special events or functions.
