Substitute Staff

About This Role

Join the support team at Child Care Resources in Long Branch, NJ as a Substitute Staff. This role pays $16 – $18/Hr and requires relevant professional experience.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children, fostering a sense of belonging and security.
• Participate in classroom activities, encouraging children to ask questions, explore, and learn through play.
• Maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment, adhering to established rules and policies.
• Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, promoting a love of learning.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, ensuring a smooth and efficient daily routine.
• Effectively communicate with parents, colleagues, and children, using excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Perform physical tasks, such as lifting and bending, to support children's needs and participate in outdoor activities.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• A medical or physical examination with a record of Mantoux results.
• To participate in a criminal background/fingerprint check.

Nice to Have

• Travel and support a few child care centers in Monmouth County
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
• Proof of Vaccinations for Covid and Influenza
• An understanding of child development
• A genuine passion for the education and care of children
