Job Duties
- Provide Front Desk Customer Assistance
- Support Substitute Teachers, Substitute Special Education Assistants, etc.
- Aid staff, volunteers, and parents with various questions and concerns
- Distribute and maintain records for Metro Bus passes
- Assist with the coordination of substitutes in the mornings
- Related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Secretarial experience or a closely related customer service experience
- Knowledge of current technology
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward one's own cultural competence
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, email, and other related technology
- Experience working with children and youth
- Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward improving one's own cultural competence, i.e., valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one's skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas.
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual language proficiency in Spanish and English and/or Hmong and English
- Experience using employee database applications
- Experience in the use of student data information systems
- Experience working in a school setting working directly with students who are considered "at-risk"
