Substitute - Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse

Indian River Central School District has an ongoing need for Substitute Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) districtwide. Substitutes may work in a variety of areas depending upon their skills and preferences, offering flexibility to accept or reject work opportunities. This role provides valuable work experience, networking opportunities with administrators, faculty, staff, and families, while developing skills and familiarity with district policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide substitute nursing support in multiple school buildings as needed.
• Perform duties in accordance with district policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) under New York State law.
• Fingerprint clearance through the New York State Education Department.
• Completion of a Civil Service application.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills, collaborative, and hardworking.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay

Hourly rate as per the Substitute Handbook.
