Substitute - Primary Years
Responsibilities
Deliver effective classroom instruction to students in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
Execute lesson plans, instructional activities, and classroom routines as outlined by the assigned teacher.
Maintain a structured, safe, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies and established procedures.
Monitor student well-being and promptly report injuries, illnesses, or significant behavioral concerns to school administration.
Adapt to various classroom settings, grade levels, and subject areas as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by school leadership to support overall school operations.
Qualifications
High School Graduate
Preferred: Advanced Education
Experience: Previous teaching experience in early childhood desired
Skills
- Passionate about early childhood education
- Innovative, and positive in the face of challenges
- Bilingual preferred | English Required
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in educational technology is preferred
- Collaborative practitioner who works well with colleagues
