Substitute Paraprofessional Pre-K
About the role
This on-call/substitute position supports teachers with supervision and redirection to ensure the successful inclusion of all children, including those with identified special needs, such as significant and affective needs, through in-class and small-group instruction. Other duties may include, but are not limited to serving meals, clerical support, following of individual student plans, and material preparation. Develop and promote good community relations among stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and support small groups of students.
- Promote a learning environment that respects the child's dignity and is perceived by students as fair and consistent.
- Support a learning environment that establishes routines and provides for student engagement through questioning, speculation, and originality.
- Elicit responses from every member of the group.
- Ensure that all students understand the material.
- Lead multi-level students to work together effectively.
- Establish rapport with students, staff, and parents that enables proactive responses to potential problems.
- Provide student supervision in groups, at recess, at lunch, and on field trips.
- Actively Participate In PLCs And Other Required Training.
- Apply and implement knowledge, skills, and new understandings to support instructional programming.
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

- High School Graduate or equivalent (preferred).
- Bilingual/Spanish preferred.
- English fluency will be determined through the application and interview process.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License.
- Valid CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred).

Hourly rate is $19.99 - $22.61, depending on comparable experience and qualifications.

Additional Information
New hires or rehires will be responsible for the $49.50 fingerprint processing fee required for background checks through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
