Job Summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the Pre-K teacher with daily classroom instruction, activities, and routines.
• Aid in supervising students during classroom activities, transitions, outdoor play, lunch, and dismissal to ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Help prepare instructional materials, learning centers, and classroom resources.
• Support students' social, emotional, physical, and academic development through positive guidance and encouragement.
• Affirm classroom rules, routines, and behavior expectations consistently and respectfully.
• Aid in maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Provide individual or small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, staff, and administration regarding student needs or classroom activities.
• Uphold confidentiality, school policies, and diocesan guidelines.
• Model appropriate behavior aligned with Catholic values and the mission of the school.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting (preferred).
• A commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of St. Clement of Rome Catholic School.
• The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.
• Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills.
• Dependability and a positive, nurturing demeanor.
