Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, the San Mateo-Foster City School District is committed to creating a strong sense of belonging and aims to hire an exceptionally diverse workforce that reflects the students and families in our community. The district educates approximately 10,500 students (representing 50 languages) in preschool through eighth grades across 22 schools, including three middle schools (Grades 6–8), fifteen elementary schools (TK/K–5), three K–8 schools, and one Early Education Center. Preschools are co-located at six elementary sites. The district offers theme-based schools such as Montessori, Immersion (Spanish and Mandarin), and STEM.

About the Role
The San Mateo-Foster City School District is accepting applications for a Substitute Paraeducator II Preschool position. This is a part-time, 10-month role.
Requirements
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- High School diploma required (must be submitted with application). If you have an AA degree or higher, submit it with your application (district testing may be waived).
- Reading and Math test required, unless waived based on prior education and/or experience.
- Answers to supplemental questions required.
Pay
Single rate of $24.17 per hour.
