Substitute Organist

Job Responsibilities

• Serve as organist/accompanist for weekend Masses and other liturgical celebrations as needed.
• Accompany choir rehearsals, cantor practices, or special music events when requested.
• Collaborate with the music director, cantors, and parish staff to ensure seamless liturgical music planning.
• Maintain a prayerful and reverent approach to all liturgical music.
• Adapt music selections as needed and provide accompaniment for hymns, psalms, and liturgical responses.

Job Requirements

• Proficiency in organ and/or piano performance (required)
• Experience accompanying choirs, cantors, or liturgical ensembles preferred
• Familiarity with Catholic liturgy and hymnody required
• Dependable, flexible, and able to adapt to changing schedules
• P Practicing Catholic preferred
