SUBSTITUTE ON- CALL DELIVERY DRIVER/WAREHOUSE WORKER

Performs general warehouse tasks including receiving, stocking, pulling orders, and loading trucks. Drives a vehicle to deliver materials such as inter-district and U.S. mail, bank deposits, supplies, and food services materials.

Responsibilities

• Follow storekeeping procedures, including proper and orderly storage and issuance of materials
• Manage stock inventory and maintain records of requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery reports
• Fill orders accurately from requisitions and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
• Perform manual labor, including lifting, pushing, and pulling objects up to 75 pounds (occasionally up to 100 pounds)
• Operate a forklift and truck safely and efficiently
• Keep stores and storage facilities clean and orderly
• Follow oral and written instructions
• Maintain files and statistical records
• Use proper telephone procedures and techniques
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and contacts
• Observe legal and defensive driving practices

Requirements

• Basic math skills
• Ability to stand, stoop, reach, and bend for long periods
• Mobility to walk long distances and work within enclosed spaces or at heights
• Familiarity with standard stock materials housed in the warehouse
